SmartGit is only free of charge for non-commercial usage. There is no feature-limited free edition for commercial use like with SmartCVS or SmartSVN. On the first application start you decide between evaluation, registering or free non-commerial usage.

I just want to know where the "free forever" version of SmartGit is? SmartCVS and SmartSVN offered commercial and free versions of their software. You could try the "Pro" features for 30-days, then they'd go away, but you'd still have ...

SmartSVN will retry to connect a couple of times to the Internet and if still fails, continues in Foundation mode.

A new milestone build is available

Most likely the last milestone build before the SmartGit release candidate is available. SmartGit is a client for the distributed version control system (DVCS) Git.
