I just want to know where the "free forever" version of SmartGit is? SmartCVS and SmartSVN offered commercial and free versions of their software. You could try the "Pro" features for 30-days, then they'd go away, but you'd still have usable software. SmartGit's licensing terms are quite a bit different from the other two. What gives?

SmartGit is only free of charge for non-commercial usage. There is no feature-limited free edition for commercial use like with SmartCVS or SmartSVN. On the first application start you decide between evaluation, registering or free non-commerial usage.
